ADAPTIVE NANNY™

Parenting is challenging in the best of circumstances.

But parenting neurodivergent children is truly a different category of challenge. We want to support all childcare needs, no matter what the situation in the home.

What is an Adaptive Nanny™?

An Adaptive Nanny™ is someone who can provide childcare in the same way as a traditional nanny, but has the skill set to assist families with neurodiverse children as well. You can rely on them for all of the typical nanny duties (i.e. driving children to activities, engaging them in fun activities, washing clothes for them, driving to school, staying with them when parents are absent) but they have specific skills and background when it comes to working with children with additional challenges.

Who should consider an Adaptive Nanny?

A child or family does not need to meet a certain profile in order to work with an adaptive nanny™, but if your child or children exhibit unique traits that are different from others, it might be obvious that these kinds of nannies will be beneficial.

If you can relate to any of the following examples, we highly recommend you consider an adaptive nanny™

  • You've tried nannies, but they just don't have enough patience, experience, or desire to support all your children because one of them is a bit "harder" than the others?

  • Do you or other family members feel like they have to walk on eggshells around your child who has unique characteristics?

  • Have you noticed that your child's tantrums and outbursts last more than those of their siblings, making you feel compelled to give them more attention?

  • Do you find it difficult to get through mealtime, morning or nighttime routines, or homework without fighting?

  • Do you have a child who fights you every time you ask them to do something?

  • Due to a constant struggle with a specific child, are you unable to devote attention to your other children?

  • Has your child been diagnosed with ADHD, ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Sensory processing disorder, Auditory Processing disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or other behavioral disorders?
